About This Tool

This online notepad works as a quick note-taking tool, browser notepad, and plain text editor. Open multiple independent tabs to organise different notes — meeting notes, shopping lists, code snippets, drafts — all within one page. Your notes persist between visits because they are saved in your browser's localStorage, so nothing is sent to any server.

Use the fullscreen mode for a distraction-free writing experience. Download any note as a .txt file to keep a permanent offline copy. The word, character, and line counter in the status bar updates in real time as you type.
